Monitoring and Evaluation Framework Development for Jordan's Biosafety and Biosecurity Priorities, Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) and Ambit Advisory, 2022

The Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Jordan was supported to enhance its biosafety and biosecurity measures. The project involved developing a comprehensive M&E framework to address Jordan’s 18 national biosafety and biosecurity priorities. These priorities included setting KPIs, developing mechanisms for incident reporting, and implementing awareness training. The framework aimed to centralise health data collection and improve the overall emergency response capabilities of the EOC. Edmaaj's role involved conducting an inception meeting, developing the M&E framework, facilitating framework discussion sessions, conducting a capacity assessment for EOC staff, and providing multiple virtual training sessions. Training sessions were held to ensure the effective implementation of the M&E framework for MoH EOC and Ambit Advisory staff.

Baseline Study for the "Extra-curricular Training Rehabilitation and Support’ (EXTRAS)" Programme, RTP, 2022

The EXTRAS programme aimed to enhance students' educational experience and environment through play-based teaching methodology, helping children develop their overall skills and achieve expected national curriculum outcomes. The baseline study focused on collecting data for outcomes based on RTP’s existing log-frame using tools such as KIIs, FGDs, and online surveys for students, parents, teachers, and headmasters, and reviewing all tools and materials to ensure the conceptual validity of the EXTRAS programme.

Baseline Assessment of “Strengthening the Active Participation of Women (Youth, Refugees, Jordanians, and Women with Disabilities) with a Comprehensive Approach to Rights in Jordan” Project, Movement for Peace, Disarmament, and Liberty (MPDL), 2023

The project aims to promote sustainable and inclusive economic empowerment and enhance leadership capabilities among Jordanian and refugee women, with special attention to young women and women with disabilities. It also focuses on improving the protection, prevention, and response system to gender-based violence in the regions of Mafraq, Zarqa, and Amman. One of the project's initial activities involves conducting a baseline study to establish parameters for comparing the initial situation and assessing the impact and achievements of the project. Data collection methods included KIIs, FGDs, and surveys with Jordanian and refugee women, including young women and women with disabilities.

Final Evaluation of “Support to Municipalities in Libya – Phase 2” Project, GIZ, 2023

The project, funded by the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union Trust Fund for Northern Africa (EUTF-NoA), involved the participation of 30 municipalities across Libya, aiming to promote a more inclusive social and economic environment while ensuring regional stability. Edmaaj’s role involved reviewing national and international documents, conducting joint meetings with GIZ and MoLG representatives, training enumerators, conducting KIIs and FGDs with various stakeholders, including local municipalities, MoLG representatives, and CSOs/CBOs, analysing collected data, submitting final evaluation report, and presenting the findings to GIZ and other stakeholders.

Baseline Study of "Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities in Jordan" Project, AICS, 2023-2024

The project aimed to enhance inclusive education for children with disabilities, including both Syrian refugees and Jordanian nationals in Jordan. The study focused on evaluating current policies, resources, and barriers to inclusive education, with an emphasis on gender-specific issues and professional training for educators. The project sought to provide comprehensive recommendations to align educational practices with the Ministry of Education's (MoE) strategies, fostering a more inclusive educational environment in Jordan. Edmaaj conducted a detailed assessment of the educational landscape for children with disabilities, performed a comprehensive review of national and international policies and legal frameworks, and gathered data through FGDs, surveys, and KIIs with stakeholders such as NGOs, government representatives, and CBOs.

Evaluation and Enhancement of Public Service and Citizen Voice in Jordan as part of the People-Centered Digital Governance Enhancement Program for the World Bank, 2023-2024

Edmaaj aimed to improve digital public infrastructure, modernise civil service, and ensure effective citizen feedback mechanisms in Jordan. Key components included establishing a Service and Public Administration Commission (SPAC) and a comprehensive Citizen Voice Mechanism (CVM) to facilitate inclusive governance and enhance service delivery and government accountability. Edmaaj evaluated existing public service frameworks, developing a Service Standard and Citizen Voice Manual, and integrating feedback channels to improve transparency and effectiveness. The team reviewed international best practices and Jordan’s Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRM) and citizen voice systems, conducted diagnostics through interviews and stakeholder meetings, and performed a gap analysis. Edmaaj provided recommendations for enhancing the citizen voice ecosystem, validated findings through consultations, and developed operational manuals to guide the implementation of the action plan. They also established monitoring frameworks to ensure alignment with national strategies for effective governance.

Comprehensive Assessment on the Protection Sector in Jordan, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), 2024

As part of the broader Jordan Response Plan for the Syria Crisis (JRP) and the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP), the project aimed to enhance social protection and justice for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians. Edmaaj undertook a thorough analysis of current protection mechanisms, policy reviews, stakeholder analysis, and mapping of service provision gaps due to the significant strain on local infrastructure caused by the influx of Syrian refugees. The assessment used methods such as KIIs and FGDs to gather data and provide recommendations to align with national strategies for effectively responding to the refugee crisis. Additionally, the team conducted a comprehensive review of national and international documents, including policies and legal frameworks.

Evaluation of the Parental Education Program (PEP), Queen Rania Foundation, 2024

The project aimed to assess the effectiveness of two redesigned remote delivery models: a guided model and a self-led one. This evaluation focused on measuring the program's impact on parental engagement and educational outcomes. Activities included data collection through KIIs, IDIs, and FGDs. The collected data were analysed to provide insights into caregiver and educator perceptions and to determine the scalability of the new approaches. The initiative aimed to enhance parental involvement in education, thus improving overall student performance and well-being.

Baytna
Organisational Capacity Assessment (OCA), Baytna, 2024

The focus was on evaluating and enhancing Baytna’s organisational systems, policies, and procedures across five critical areas: Financial Management and Internal Control Systems, Administration and Procurement Systems, Human Resource Systems, Programme Management, and Organisational Management and Sustainability. Edmaaj improved financial management policies and systems, administration and procurement systems, human resource frameworks, and programme management practices, thereby reducing inefficiencies and boosting organisational effectiveness. During the review and update of policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), and templates, Edmaaj ensured Baytna’s operations aligned with international best practices and complied with donor regulations, crucial for sustainability and credibility. Data collection methods included interviews, surveys, and desk review.

Testing the Appropriateness and Effectiveness of the Videos under "Iqraali" Program, Queen Rania Foundation, 2024

Edmaaj evaluated the impact of video content designed to encourage parents to start reading to their children from birth to age five. The project aimed to assess how these videos resonate with parents and propose necessary improvements. The project involved conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) with parents, piloting these interviews to refine data collection methods, and providing comprehensive analysis and actionable recommendations. The initiative is part of QRFED's broader strategy to enhance early childhood education and parental engagement across Jordan, leveraging multimedia tools to foster a culture of reading from an early age.
