In 2017, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) published the End of Term Report for Jordan’s second action plan. The report covers the second year of implementation of the action plan from 2014 through 2016.
This report is authored by Ms. Mai Eleimat and Dr. Amer Bani Amer with the Al Hayat Centre for Civil Society Development. Their findings are summarized below:
“The Jordanian action plan was primarily centered on improving public services and had a limited focus on the OGP’s mandate to improve transparency and accountability in government. Moving forward, Jordan needs to ensure that it follows the OGP process of action plan development and implementation and that it only includes OGP relevant commitments that stretch government practice.”
